The ending was great and has one of my favorite epilogues. To Love a Dark Lord by Anne Stuart - The MMC is a huge asshole who thinks he can't/shouldn't love. The emotional high that I got from this book when the two MC did finally put away their pride was almost the same as The Duke. the MMC is NOT alpha and is described as very average and is honestly dumb. He ands the FMC have pride issues that get in the way.Ī Precious Jewel by Mary Balogh - Hear me out on this lol. He was sent away by the FMC because she's an Earl's daughter but is now back. Since we both love The Duke, I hope you will enjoy these suggestions :)Īgain The Magic by Lisa Kleypas - McKenna is a former stableboy who is now a rich as hell and influential man. It sounds to me like you are looking for well-written books where the characters, but especially the powerful MMC, give up their pride at the end to come together. So The Duke is ALSO my favorite romance novel, and I agree that Foley's other books that I have read haven't inspired the same feelings. Top of my head I can think of Rebellious Desire by Garwood and Until You by Jennifer McNare. And just a masterpiece.īUT when I look into her other 's like someone else wrote them =)))) It's like two different writers? Or am I not looking in the right place? Is there something she does write to the par of The Duke? Or is there any other author you can think of who writes like McNaught.or The Duke?

The closest I've found to the high she gives is Gaelen Foley's The Duke. Descriptive, insightful and just takes you on a journey. They're not normal (let's be honest haha) but when the pride of BOTH characters are put aside, they are full of love.

Insane alpha MMCs who have a lot of power, money and influence. To loving crazy alpha MMC 's with absolute emotional rollercoaster plots, which condensed pretty much means Judith McNaught's HRs. So about a month and a half ago, I was going on and on about my very specific tastes and after I read pretty much everything I could pertaining to my criteria, I've moved on.
